Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

CountySet is an independent tool for exploring public data about U.S. counties. It runs almost entirely in your browser. The only personal information I collect is what you type into the feedback form.

What I collect

When you submit feedback, I receive three things: your feedback message; your email address (required, so I can send your promo code and follow up if needed); and basic technical details sent automatically with the form, namely the page you submitted from and your browser type, which help me reproduce bugs.

What I’ll never do

I will never sell, rent, or trade your email or feedback; never share it with third parties for their own marketing; and never send you spam. The only emails I'll send relate to your promo code or a direct follow-up. Any browser storage is strictly to remember your settings on your own device.

Why, and how it's stored

I collect this on the basis of your consent: you choose to submit the form, knowing what the email is for. Submissions are delivered through Google and stored in a private Google Sheet on my account, with a copy emailed to me; Google's handling is governed by its own privacy policy. I keep your information only as long as I reasonably need it.

Your choices

At any time you can email me to see what I hold, correct it, or have it deleted, and I'll honor the request. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA), you may have additional rights over your data; I'll honor reasonable requests regardless of location. CountySet isn't directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
